Bereavement Counsellor in Hull

Hi my name is Dawn, when the world feels shaken and the air full of swirling thoughts and feelings, I offer a quiet place to let the snow settle — to rest, reflect, and begin to see yourself clearly again.

You’re functioning. You’re coping. But something inside no longer feels the same.

You may be getting through each day while feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or constantly on edge. This can happen after loss or major life changes, but also after experiences that have slowly worn you down — difficult relationships, trauma, abuse, bullying, or years of feeling unseen, unsafe, or unheard.

Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to carry it alone.

I offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can slow things down and simply be yourself, without pressure or expectation.

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in emotional safety. I understand how overwhelming experiences — whether recent or long past — can affect the nervous system, relationships, emotions, and sense of identity.

Therapy offers a steady space to explore your experiences at your own pace, helping you feel more understood, more regulated, and more connected to yourself again.

How I Work
I’m a BACP-registered, person-centred therapist.
Our work together moves gently at your pace — exploring what soothes, what strengthens, and what helps you feel a little more like you again, as the snow begins to clear.
